Washington Book Hogs Reading Contest begins February 1!
Students can earn a chance at going to the Bud Walton Arena Book Hogs party and to meet athletes, mascots, cheerleaders and band members by entering the Book Hog reading contest where they read at least 360 minutes in February. Book Hogs playbooks go home in Monday folders on January 28th and the reading begins February 1. Keep playbooks at home and parents will keep track of student minutes read in the playbook. Send them back to the school March 1st.

Today, January 24, is the Sweet Potatoes taste test in the cafeteria during class lunch period. Harvest of the Month is hosted by the FPS Seed to Student program to get students excited about eating fresh seasonal foods available where they live.

HOT CHOCOLATE FOR HOUNDS event is TODAY, Jan. 18th, from 7:15 - 8:00 am in the cafeteria or until the hot chocolate is gone. First come, first served. $1 per cup. The Random Acts of Kindness Team will host the event. Proceeds go to the Animal Shelter. We will also be gratefully accepting donations for the Animal Shelter. Come have some warm delicious hot chocolate and help out our furry friends on Friday.
